Tradition and culture are linked together. Both behaviors have developed over countless generations. Traditions tend to be unique or different societies, and are usually born of local beliefs and circumstances. For instance, many traditions can be linked to food. In the UK, it’s tradition for every married couple to freeze the top of their wedding cake and eat it after 1 year of their wedding anniversary. Additionally, in Italy, Catholics consume a wafer from unleavened bread. They believe that they are consuming the body of Jesus. Moreover, some traditions are related to clothing. The color a bride wears for her wedding day is meant to bring good luck. For instance, China and India wear red, and they wear blue in the US. Furthermore, in La Tomatina, Spain, once a year in the Valencian town of Buñuel, Spaniards gather to throw tomatoes at each other. The world’s largest tomato fight, La Tomatina, now attracts participants from around the world.
